ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS
At EverVitalMD, we take a team approach to wellness and care. Every one of our providers leans into each other for support. We want to ensure you are getting the best care possible so you feel better and experience lasting results.
Our founders, John and Erin Woodward are both passionate about optimal family care and wellness. Erin has her degree in Dietetics and has always had a passion for fitness. They met when John was her personal trainer while getting his Masters Degree in 1999. They have been married since 2000. They both spent their childhood in Illinois but relocated to Lake Norman in NC in 2013. They love the people, the natural beauty and the opportunities that North Carolina has to offer. They have two children. In their free time, John and Erin enjoy traveling, working out, and attending their children’s extracurricular activities.
Dr. Woodward’s passion for health and wellness led him towards Functional Medicine – treating with food rather than medicine. He began his fellowship in Functional Medicine in 2010 while working full time as an Emergency Room physician. He completed the fellowship in 2012 and they opened their first EverVitalMD clinic in 2013. It is a dream come true for John to be able to educate and coach his clients to healthier lives with less medication and without the restrictions of insurance quotas and guidelines. Dr. Woodward’s passion is evident within the first few minutes of meeting him. His thirst for knowledge and continued education is what makes him stand out in this field. He loves to save lives working in a busy Emergency Room and giving clients back their quality of life at EverVitalMD. Dr. Woodward offers the perfect balance between the conventional medical world and the holistic, functional approach to care.
